About us

The history of origins 

Preisig AG is one of the largest sanitary, heating, solar and roofing companies in the Zurich area. On the occasion of the company's anniversary in 2009, the decision was made to celebrate 75 years of successful activity by making a contribution to improving the supply of clean drinking water and hygienic toilets for people in developing countries. 

After the success of a first project in Uganda, Preisig AG decided to continue providing development aid. In recent years, various drinking water, toilet and solar power systems have been planned and built in poor countries.
 

The foundation of WatSanAid 

In order for people and interested organisations outside Preisig AG to be able to participate in this development aid activity, the association WatSanAid was founded in 2019 as a non-profit organisation. 

 The name WatSanAid is the abbreviation for "Water, Sanitation, Aid". 

After the foundation, WatSanAid took over the task of continuing the development aid activities of Preisig AG. However, it will continue to be supported by Preisig AG with expertise and cooperation in the future.
